“The Norman Edge”
The European branch of the Haskins Society is proud to join with Lancaster University to sponsor a one-day conference on the “The Norman Edge”. This round table discussion will review the research on cartularies over the last twenty years, as well as look ahead to challenges and opportunities, including scientific problems and the role of digital technology. More information about this conference can be found here. “EARLY ENGLISH LAW” Aconference to celebrate the centenary of the publication of Liebermann's work, evaluate its impact, explore new work on early English law, and launch a new edition of texts. The conference will be held at the University of London, jointly sponsored by the Institute of Historical Research, the Institute of English Studies, and Advanced Legal Studies; it is co-organized by Stefan Jurasinski, Bruce O'Brien, Lisi Oliver, and Andrew Rabin. Papers will cover Historiography, Evidence, Philology, Law, and Editing. Featured speakers include John Hudson, R. D. Fulk, and Mary Richards.
